22-year-old has eyes for featuring for Rangers next season

|

Rangers star Nikola Katic would appear to have all eyes on featuring for the club this season and challenging for a starting role throughout the campaign.

The defender had ups and downs for the Gers last year at times with him in and out of the side and some wondering whether or not Steven Gerrard fancied him.

However, he remains a part of the squad and with him at the age of 22 he has got plenty on his side to try and prove himself.

Indeed, that is what he is looking to do with him quoted by the Daily Record as saying:

“If you want to win the league and compete in the Europa League you must have good players in each position.

“Every position has two or three quality players and I’m ready for the battle with my team-mates.”

He’s got a point and hopefully, this will see the Gers push on as a squad and challenge for trophies.

Strength in depth is at the core of any successful side and if Katic and co. are all driving each other on to improve then we should have a good season.
