Celtic defeated Rangers on Sunday but goalkeeper Allan McGregor tried his hardest to not let that happen.
The two-spell Ibrox shot-stopper made a number of crucial saves across the 90 minutes to deny the Hoops piling on the misery, saving the club from another derby humiliation.
Ultimately only the three points matter, but another heavy defeat could have been a critical blow in the early stages of Steven Gerrard’s career at Rangers.
One of the first bits of business this summer was bringing the goalkeeper back to Glasgow and so far it looks like it may have been the most crucial transfer of the entire window.
His saves not only guided us towards the group stages of the UEFA Europa League but have now again been on the big stage.
